Lara the Black Cat Fairy is the second fairy in the series the Magical Creature/ Magical Animal Fairies. Her black cat, Lucky, is in charge of luck. He appears during a orienteering activity. It is mentioned in the book that, since Lucky's training isn't done, his magic sometimes works in reverse, spreading bad luck instead. This causes one girl to have her cereal bar stolen, and another to get stung by stinging nettles while Rachel's locket comes off.

Lara has long black hair. She wears a grey cardigan, blue skinny jeans, black knee-high buckled boots and a dark blue scarf printed with little black cats. Her wings are light blue tinted.
